Faye Ann Wielgus

PORTAGE – Faye Ann Wielgus, age 93, of Portage, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Heritage House in Portage.

Faye was born on January 23, 1932, in Columbus, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert and Rose Hamele.  She was married to John Joseph Wielgus, who preceded her in death.  

She is survived by her children, Thom (Shelly) Wielgus, Julie (Mike) Brolin; son-in-law, Jerry McGowan; grandchildren, Zach McGowan, Tara (Josh) Glendenning, Aaron (Mindi) McGowan, Theran (Kaitlynn) Wielgus, and Luke Brolin; great-grandchildren, Griffin Glendenning, Peyton Hamilton, Lumen Wielgus, and Wesson Wielgus; and other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and daughter, Jackie McGowan.

A celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Father Randy Timmerman officiating.  Inurnment will be private at a later date.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
