Joseph James Schesny

PORTAGE – Joseph James Schesny, age 76, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.

Joe was born on February 14, 1949, in Milwaukee, the son of Joseph and Ida (Piwoni) Schesny.  He was an engineer with the Milwaukee Road, Soo Line, Canadian Pacific Railroad for 40 years.  Joe was the union representative of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Meier Schesny;  two children, Rebecca Schesny (Mike) and Fred (Erin) Schesny;  other relatives and many friends.
