Judith Ann Cichon

PORTAGE ‒ It is with heavy hearts, that we share the passing of Judith Ann Cichon. Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, wife, mother-in-law, daughter, and friend. She passed away on Monday, September 14th, 2026, at the age of 79, surrounded by her family.

Judie was born on January 6th, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to Steven and Marian Szwedo. Growing up, she loved to roller skate and dance on the weekends with her best friend of seventy-five years, Rosalie. She and her family moved to Wisconsin, in 1981, where she grew to love boating, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Judie cherished the friends she met from Spartech Plastics, Inc. and would jump at the chance for a new adventure with them, in or outside of work. She loved to bowl and vacation with her friends and family. She adored her beloved dog, Tootsie. The two of them were inseparable from the day they met. One of their favorite things to do was share an ice cream cone from Dairy Queen.

Her family will remember her for always being there — with full candy dishes, space at the table, and an open-door policy. She never let a birthday, holiday, or family milestones go unrecognized. She celebrated successes, supported through failures, and made sure everyone felt cared for. Judy provided her children, grandchildren, and friends with a deep sense of family and what it truly meant to care for others. She is deeply loved and cherished by everyone who knows her and will be forever missed.

Judie is survived by her three children, Christopher, 59, (Heather), Scott, 58, (Lyn), and Annemarie, 56 (Eric Weidling); and her grandchildren, Jessica (Jonathan) Decker, Abigail Weidling, Hope Cichon, and Owen Cichon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Marion (Lefty and Honey) Szwedo; and husband, Ronald.

A celebration of life visitation will be held at Pflanz Funeral Home, in Portage, on Sunday, September 27th from 11 am to 3 pm. There will be no funeral service.
