Patricia “Pati” Schehr
PORTAGE – Patricia “Pati” Schehr ended her hard-fought, courageous battle with cancer on February 9th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, in her home where she created a lifetime of memories.
She cherished spending time with her family, dogs, friends, taking road trips, travelling, sitting on the deck while drinking her coffee or reading, watching fireworks and spending time in the Northwoods.
Pati looked forward to attending the Renaissance Faire each year, spending time designing beautiful outfits with her good friend, Jena Kreul.
She loved to read, a love that she made sure to pass on to her grandchildren. Pati was an avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the Packer and Badger games with her whole-world, husband, Jeff.
She and Jeff were married for 46 amazing years! Together, they have 3 children: Austin Schehr, Alise (Todd, her dearest son-in-law) Morris and Ian Schehr. She would do anything for her children, provided true, unconditional love. Of all the greatness in her life, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her 3 "Grandbabies"; Myles Jeffrey, Landen Ascher and Axel Henry. They will continue to feel her presence, for all of time.
Pati worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years, starting as an underwriter working her way up to an agent, to finally making her wish come true, owning a very successful agency, Schehr Insurance, for over 15 years. She loved what she did, was a wealth of knowledge, helped and met many great people along the way.
She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Rose Schehr; brother-in-law, Steve (Jona) Schehr; sister-in-law, Sherry Schehr; sister-in-law, Shelley (Keith) Hess; sisters, Cindy Wilkins, Sandra (Bob) Alexander, Kristen Atkinson, and Tammy (Jeff) Olson. Additionally, several nieces, cousins, nephews and many special friends.
Proceeding her in death are her mother and father (Robert & Marion Hayes); brother, James Hayes; father-in-law, Morris Schehr; nephew, Tyler Schehr; and best friend Janet Richards.
There aren't enough words or time to express how much she will be loved and missed.
