Mary A. Hibner Sauer

ENDEAVOR – Mary A. Hibner Sauer, age 77, of Endeavor, passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, January 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born on March 5, 1947, in Portage, the daughter of Vern and Mary Hibner.  She attended Portage Schools and worked at the Weyenberg Shoe Factory, and Divine Savior Nursing Home for 30 years.  Mary was married to her soul mate, Clifford Sauer on March 4, 1967.  Together they had three children. Mary loved to gamble and work at the concession stand for Endeavor Little League.  Mary and Clifford enjoyed being Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus at Divine Savior Nursing Home, in Portage.  She enjoyed going to the Dodge County Fair and all her vacations.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford; her children, Ronald (Lisa), Montello, Nikki (Larry) LaSure, Endeavor, and Traci Sauer, Sauk Prairie; four grandkids, Alexis (Hunter) Hayes, Endeavor, Kaylee (Leven) Davey, Richland Center, Austin (Esperanza) LaSure, Portage, and Aden Daniel, Sauk Prairie;  a great-granddaughter, Sophia Hayes; her sister-in-law, Bonnie Hibner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Mary, brothers, Donald, David, twin brother, Maurice, Richard, and Kenny.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
