

Charles “Chuck” W. Paske
PORTAGE – Charles “Chuck” W. Paske, age 79, of Portage, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Meriter Hospital in Madison.
Chuck was born on January 17, 1946, in Portage, to parents Edward and Mary (Hill) Paske. He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Chuck was married to Cecile Ready. She preceded him in death. Chuck had been a volunteer fire fighter in his younger years, and a Portage police officer for 31 years. He had owned and operated the Paske Ambulance Service in Portage for many years, until his retirement. Chuck was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.
He is survived by his children, Nathan Paske, Alicia (Richard Hosmer) Paske and Aaron Paske; grandchildren, Delilah Paske and Tucker Hosmer; his sister, Sandy Hubbard; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Darlene Schultz and Mary Jane Radant; his brother, Edward Paske III; and his three brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with the Rev. Greg Hovland officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by Portage Area Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
