Fredrick A. Inselman

LEEDS TOWNSHIP – Fredrick A. Inselman, age 90, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at his home in Leeds Township.

Fred was born on July 16, 1935, in Poynette, the son of Fredrick and Bertha (Falkenstein) Inselman. He served his country with the U.S. Air Force.  Fred married Dorothy Steffenhagen on January 21, 1961, at Zion Lutheran Church, in Leeds. He farmed in Leeds Township for many years.  Dorothy preceded him in death on January 30, 2012.  Fred enjoyed his men’s coffee group and bowling.  He loved his flowers, gardening, being outside and his cats.  Fred was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Dana Inselman;  his daughter-in-law, Dawn Inselman;  his sister-in-law, Lois Inselman;  two grandchildren, Dustin Branton and Kyle Manthe;  four great-grandchildren, Noah, Jonah, Leonardo and Magdalina;  other near relatives, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; son, David; and brother, Herbert.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church, in Leeds, with the Rev. Scott Schwertfeger officiating.  Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by Arlington area veterans.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, at the church.

A memorial has been established in Fred’s name, which will be used for a church contribution.
