Salliann Gray
PORTAGE – Salliann Gray, age 89, of Portage, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Sally was born on July 28, 1935, in Portage, WI, the daughter of James and Margaret (Weber) Clark. She was the owner/operator of the Friendly Tavern for over 40 years. Sally was a member of the St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Briggsville.
She is survived by her children, James Alexander, Ronald Alexander, Kurt (Kim) Alexander, Lori Halverson, Douglas Alexander, and Richard (Kim) Weishoff; sisters, Donna (Ron) Newell and Judith Stebic; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jean Smith; her husbands, Donald Alexander, Donald Weishoff, and Jerry Gray; son-in-law, Gary Halverson; granddaughter, Sarah; and grandson, Jacob.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Briggsville, Wisconsin, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Randy Timmerman presiding. Inurnment will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Briggsville. Visitation will be at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. There will be a Celebration of Sally’s Life at Foxy’s in Briggsville after the Mass.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Briggsville.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital and Agrace Hospice for their care and support.
