Edward L. Sandstrom, Jr.
POYNETTE -- Edward L. Sandstrom, Jr., age 62, of Poynette, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Although those around him tried with great effort to keep him here with us, our Heavenly Father wrapped him in his arms and took him home to join his dad.
Ed was born on October 21, 1961, in Madison, Wisconsin, to proud parents, Edward L. and Margie (Teske) Sandstrom, Sr. He was a graduate of DeForest High School. Shortly after graduation he began his career at Equity Livestock for over 40 years. He made many wonderful friends throughout Wisconsin, working at sale barns and traveling to farms. He was always up for a good story and laughs.
He loved us fiercely as a father and friend, teaching us to love nature and sharing his love and skills for hunting, fishing and trapping. We enjoyed many years of camping at our permanent site in Minocqua. We’d take long rides, and he even ‘survived’ shopping. He was as sweet as his love for sweets. Ed was very proud of his Native American heritage.
He will be deeply missed by his son Logan, daughter Danielle, mother Margie, brother David (Shawntel), niece Jenna and nephew Wesley, as well as his extended family of many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his father Edward, Sr.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Windsor United Church of Christ, 4434 2nd Street, Windsor, with Rev. Tammy Martens officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Windsor United Church of Christ.
