

Betty J. Robinson
PORTAGE – Betty J. Robinson, age 98, of Portage, died on November 19, 2024, at Tivoli in Portage, surrounded by her family.
Betty was born on August 10, 1926, in Portage, the daughter of Orville and Florence (Hall) Clemmons. After graduating from Portage High School, Betty worked in Washington D.C. for the FBI. When she returned to Wisconsin, she attended UW-Madison. Betty married Raymond “Bud” Robinson, in Portage, on May 1, 1948, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Portage, where she was a member until her death. She and her husband Bud owned and operated Quinn Jewelers, in Portage, for many years. Betty enjoyed in her earlier years curling and playing bridge.
She is survived by her children, Susan Rae Kreier, New Richmond, and Beth Ann (Tony) Smith, Portage; her grandchildren, Jason William (Pam) Kreier, Clear Lake, Rae Ann (Christopher) Ailts, New Richmond, Quinn Anthony Smith, Portage, and Ashley Elizabeth (Adam) Kreger, Portage; 7 great grandchildren, Natalie and Derek Kreier, Nevaeh and Adrianna Ailts, Abigail, Emily and Lily Kreger; and other close friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Bud” Robinson, on November 16, 2013; her parents; and her son-in-law, James Kreier.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Portage, with Fr. Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. There will be a visitation at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
