Lisa A. Priske
POYNETTE – Lisa A. Priske, age 57, of Poynette, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, July 28, 2024, with her loving family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Lisa was born on March 21, 1967, in Portage, the daughter of William (Bill) and Elizabeth “Betty” (DeGroff) Priske. She spent her life in the Poynette area, graduating from Poynette High School in 1986. She continued on to the UW Farm Short Course at Madison, graduating in 1988.
Lisa loved working with anything Ag related. She worked at one location with several changes through the years, starting as Demeter, Arlington Feed and Grain, Big Gain, and presently Furst McNess.
Lisa was always active in her community. She served on the Poynette Parent Club, Blessings in a Backpack, Poynette Food Pantry, and Columbia County Pork Partners.
When she wasn’t volunteering, she was spending time with her family. She loved to go on road trips and new adventures with her twin sister, Linda. During the summer, she spent her free time at the Lodi Ag Fair and Columbia County Fair, surrounded by family and friends.
Lisa is survived by her daughter, Kaitlyn Priske; mother, Elizabeth (Henry) Mootz; siblings, Sue (Calvin) Moll, Billy (Holly) Priske, twin sister, Linda (Gary) Priske-Georgeson, Cathy (Dan) Wendt; brother-in-law, Richard Sekel; nieces and nephews, Lindsey (Mickey) Doebert, Nate Moll, Whitney (Mike) Bird, Austin (Amanda Walther) Moll, Matthew Sekel, Luther Sekel, Josh (Carley) Priske, Caleb (Jamie) Priske, Rebecca (Justin) Dalton, Amanda (Trent Schuster) Wendt, Bethany (Wyatte) Meier, Cassie Wendt, and Serena Wendt; grandnieces and grandnephews; other relatives, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Priske; sister, Sandra Sekel, nieces, Emily Sekel and Kayla Beth Georgeson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Portage, Wisconsin with Fr. Randy Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the church and on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage. Inurnment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UW Carbone Cancer Center, American Red Cross, or Agrace.
