Marc Phillip D’Amour

PORTAGE – Marc Phillip D’Amour, age 73, passed into eternal life at his home on December 16th, 2024. He peacefully took his last breath, knowing he was cherished and loved.

Born on June 13, 1951, Marc spent his life as a dedicated husband, father, and businessman. A man of integrity and humble strength, he built a career in the tire, hospitality, construction and campground industries, spanning over 50 years.

Marc’s legacy is one of faith, resilience and loyalty. He found immense joy in spending time with his family, friends, time at his campground, keeping his vehicles in immaculate condition, spoiling his faithful dog, Bailey and cheering on all Wisconsin sports teams. What truly set Marc apart was his entrepreneurial spirit and the love of the deal. He had an unbridled enthusiasm for life and all he did.

Marc is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne, his children, Marc (Megan) D’Amour, Matt (Brooke Emory) D’Amour, brothers, Mike D’Amour, John ( Pam) D’Amour, Marty (Nelda) D’Amour, sisters, Mary (Jim) Laux, Joan (Dale) Thomas, Cathy (Steve) Bjeldanes, Suzy (Joe) Cataldo, many nieces and nephews, and all of his beloved and precious grandchildren. Resting in the arms of God, he joins his parents, Robert and Ruby D’Amour.

Marc’s gentle spirit, smile, and caring nature will live on in all who knew him.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Portage, with Fr. Randy Timmerman presiding. Visitation is at the church from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with the mass at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome.
