Billy John “Bill” Busser

FOUNTAIN CITY, WI – Billy John “Bill” Busser, died on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family.

Bill was born on July 21, 1960, in Portage, the son of Vernon and Betty (Wipperman) Busser. He was married to Jean Rogers on October 29, 1988, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Portage, Wisconsin.  Bill loved spending time with his family.  He was a “gear head” at heart. He loved racing and going to car shows. Bill also enjoyed hunting at “The 80” with his deer camp buddies, fishing, and watching sunsets on Mille Lacs Lake. Bill worked in the plastics industry for 45 years.

Bill is survived by his wife, Jean; daughters, Lindsay (Isaac) Swanson and Amanda Busser (Isaiah Reidel); his grandchildren, Kaden Busser and Kyan and Flora Swanson; his brother, Larry (Vicki) Busser; his sister, Linda (Pat) Solterman; other near relatives, and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill and his family would like to thank everyone who has reached out and supported them through this difficult time.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Pat Solterman officiating.  Inurnment will be at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portage.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
