Terri Lynne Brimmer (Walterscheit)

Terri, 62, of Portage, left this earth unexpectedly on Sunday, August 11th, 2024. Terri was born on March 13th, 1962, in Madison, Wisconsin, to Irving “Bob” and Dorothy (Olson) Walterscheit. Terri graduated in 1980, a year filled with joy as she also welcomed the birth of her beloved daughter, Michelle. Terri married Patrick Brimmer in 1988, and went on to have four more children.

Over the years, Terri embraced a variety of different roles and found joy in the experiences each job brought. Her heart was vast and capable of holding countless people within it. She tended bar for over 16 years and formed deep connections with many people. She took pride in the relationships she built over the years, offering a listening ear, a comforting smile, and a sense of community to all who walked through the door. Terri’s life was filled with simple joys and passions that brought her immense fulfillment. Among these, crocheting held a special place in her heart. With her creative spirit, she would turn a ball of yarn into something beautiful. Whether it was a cozy blanket for a child or a scarf for someone in need, she made it with love and attention to detail. Most importantly, she loved and cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She made sure they knew how much she loved them. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play and treasured all the baby snuggles she could get.

Terri was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby, and her father Bob. She is survived by her five children: Michelle (Ed) Bublitz, of Burke, Heather (Mike) Olson, of Portage, Robert “Bobby” Brimmer, of Sun Prairie, Ashlee (Shane) Phillips, of Fort Atkinson, and Ben (Stevie) Brimmer, of Portage. Furthermore, she is survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren: Christian, William, Ella, Lucy, and Clayton, the children of Michelle and Ed; Avery, the child of Heather and Mike; Aleigha, Ryder, Ezekiel, Vincent, Cashton, Gracelyn, Cecilia, and Declan, the children of Ashlee and Shane; Payton and Hunter, the children of Ben and Stevie; great-granddaughter, Harley, daughter of Christian; and great-grandson, Braxtyn, son of Aleigha. She is also survived by her mother, Dorothy; her sister, Melissa Guethlein; and her brother, Frankie Walterscheit.
