Gerald A. “Gerry” Wallace

PACKWAUKEE – Gerald A. “Gerry” Wallace, age 56, of Packwaukee Township, left us too soon on  Sunday, July 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Gerald was born on September 3, 1966, the son of Gerry and Pat Wallace. He attended Port Edwards Schools and graduated in 1983, then attended the School of Survey in Coloma.  Gerry married Denise Margaret Hall in 1992 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards. He worked for the CP Rail out of Portage for 18 years, and also was the General Chairman for Sheet Metal Air Rail & Transportation-Transportation Division (SMART-TD).  Gerry belonged to the SMART-TD Union.  He was a coffee connoisseur and loved playing cribbage.  Gerry enjoyed woodworking, traveling with his wife, hunting, golf and fishing.  He was a clock fixer and collector, as well as a car and motorcycle collector;  antique collector; and music collector.  Gerry had interest in race cars, both racing and building;  Harley rider, both riding and fixing; and computers, both working on them and building them.  He loved cartoons, coffee by the lake and his Kansas City BBQ.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Margaret “Niki”; his children, Dustin A. Wallace, Sierra M. Hall and Dylon T. Hall;  two grandchildren, Max A. Wallace and Drake S. Hall;  his parents, Gerry and Pat Wallace;  his sister, Wanda J. (Jeff) Glaza;  his in-laws, Sharon (Steve) Schulmann, Pat (Becky) Taylor, Terry (Carrie) Hall, George “Biff” (Greg Merck) Hall, Mike (Joy) Hall, Steve (Renee) Hall, Kathleen “Kaet” Hall, Donna Hall, and David (Sara) Hall; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Danny Hall and his sister-in-law, Claudia Hall Taylor.  

Celebration of Life will be from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Big Spring Congregational Church, 373 Golden Ct., Wisconsin Dells, with a sharing of memories at 12:00 noon, with Chaplain Jessica Smith officiating. Inurnment will be private.

Memorials may be given to the family, which will be passed on to others in memory of Gerry.
