Sandra Lynn Mundt

POYNETTE – Sandra Lynn Mundt, age 60, of Poynette, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, July 4, 2021.

Born to Marvin and Helen (Hoopes) Mundt on August 4, 1960, in Columbus, WI.  Sandy attended Sun Prairie High School through her Junior year; she transferred and graduated from Verona High School in 1978. She went on to attend MATC earning an associate degree in Accounting. After graduating, she was hired by the Gordon Felsch Company and worked in various roles during her career there. She remained in Sun Prairie for quite a few years until deciding to relocate to Pardeeville and more recently to the Poynette area.

Sandy cherished the outdoors, especially in the summer months tending to her vegetable garden and flower beds.  An avid Packers and Badgers fan, she rarely missed a game and enjoyed cheering them on with friends.  She delighted in finding just the right item that she didn’t even know she needed at garage sales, flea markets and antique stores.  Sandy had a larger-than-life personality, a generous heart and enjoyed helping others.  She volunteered at the Pardeeville Elementary School and most recently for the Wyocena Food Pantry. However, spending quality time with family and friends was what she truly loved most.

She is survived by her brother, Frank (Susan) Mundt, Overland Park, KS; her sister, Linda (Ken) Malenke, Poynette; her nieces and nephew, Cassie (Brett) Pikarsky, Overland Park, KS, Kendra Malenke, Poynette, Christopher Kiersten, Madison, and many beloved relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Alex Mundt.
