Lucretia "Lou" Capsay
MONTELLO – Lucretia “Lou” Capsay, age 92, passed away peacefully at the Montello Care Center on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
Lucretia was born on March 8, 1929 in Insull, Kentucky, the daughter of William and Stella (Coldiron) Estridge. She was married to Alexander Capsay on October 25, 1975. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2002. Lou served her country with the U.S. Navy Waves. She loved watching birds and enjoyed her flower garden.
She is survived by her step-children, Alan (Terry) Capsay, Eagle River, WI and Susan Capsay, Chicago, IL; her sister-in-law, Alene Estridge, Grand Marsh, WI; a host of nieces and a nephew; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Lonnie and Lynn, and sisters Thelma, Geraldine, Alma.
Lou was loved dearly and will be deeply missed.
Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
At Lou’s request, no services will be held. A private burial, with military honors will be in Oxford Cemetery.
