Bernie L. Mielke

POYNETTE – Bernie L. Mielke, age 85, passed away peacefully at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Lodi, Wisc on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.

Bernie was born on October 8, 1935 in Arlington Township, the son of Bruno and Sarah (Richards) Mielke. He was a graduate of Poynette High School.  Bernie was also a U.S. Army Veteran from 1957-1963, and worked as a salesman. He enjoyed agriculture and going to the Dairy Expo.  Bernie liked cattle and anything to do with farming.

He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Kouba Mielke, Zephyrhills, Florida, and her children, Vanesha, Kelly and Alan, and Trew Mielke, Hastings Minnesota. Great-grandchildren, Tarah, Alexis, and KaraMae,  his brother, Bill (Mary Jo) Mielke, Poynette; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Ollie (Nancy) Mielke and Lee Mielke. 

There will be a service at a later date, at The King National Cemetery in King, Wisc.
