Paul A. Larson

PORTAGE – Paul A. Larson, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Portage on Thursday, August 20, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born on July 28, 1932, in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, the son of Jesse and Grace (Tripp) Larson. He married Arline Raith in Rio on August 28, 1965. He worked at the UW Madison. Paul was a member of the Portage Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  Paul was baptized on February 10, 1962, as one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and really liked meeting with his friends at the Kingdom Hall. He enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. His favorite verse was “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4. Paul was a very avid walker especially nature walks and he also liked football and baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Arline Larson of Portage; children, Randall (Ruth) Larson of Sun Prairie, Sandra Kaether of Pardeeville, Rosalee (Richard) Richter of Rio, Scott (Sarah) Larson of Montello, Rodney (Sarah) Larson of Spring Green; grandchildren, Autumn, Amber, Zachary and Noah. Paul was the last survivor of the 11 children born to Jesse and Grace.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom platform. For further details, please contact Randy Larson.
