Eldon O. Weyh

Portage/Wellton, AZ – Eldon Weyh, age 77, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017, with his loving family by his side at the Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Arizona.

Eldon was born on April 8, 1940, in Grand Meadow, Minnesota, the son of Orville and Marjorie (King) Weyh. He drove truck for his father-in-law, Orland Stephens Trucking, Roll A Home, Foreway, and retired from USF Holland.  He loved spending time and talking with all his trucking buddies. For many years, Eldon wintered in Wellton, Arizona, and spent his summers with his daughter and son-in-law in Portage. He loved to play golf, cheer on the Packers, Badgers and Brewers, and mow the lawn on his A-Farmall tractor.  He loved assisting his daughter at the Concerts at the Portage each week and spending time talking with everyone who attended.  He had been a member of the Portage Jaycees, Grace Bible Church in Portage, and Teamsters Union.

Eldon is survived by his Mother, Marjorie; his Children, Carmen (Michael) Griffith, Portage; Susan (Jonathan) Brennan, Surprise, AZ; and Stephen (Editha) Weyh, Kingman, AZ; his Grandchildren, Ashley Brennan, Phoenix, AZ; Amanda Brennan, Oregon, WI; Jonathan Brennan, Norfolk, VA; and Todd (Ashley) Weyh, Virginia Beach, VA; Great Grandchildren, Killian Weyh and Max Douville; his Siblings, Veryle (Noel) Weyh, Wellton, AZ; Jeanne (James) Brinks, Morrisonville, WI; and Darwin (Michelle) Weyh, Harrison Township, MI; and loving companion, Donna Clavering, Wellton, AZ and her daughters, Toni Romnes and Joni Gilliam; and many relatives and friends.  Eldon was preceded in death by his Father, Orville; Sister, Arlys; his Grandparents and many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and Donna’s son, Shawn Stanley.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Portage VFW Post 1707, 215 W. Collins Street, Portage on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  Please help us celebrate an awesome man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends!!!  Bring pictures, stories and laughs with you.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Yuma Regional Medical Center for their care and support.

A private family burial will be at a later date.
