William “Junior” W. Tomlinson

POYNETTE – William “Junior” W. Tomlinson, 82, of Poynette, passed away peacefully at the William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

Junior was born on August 20, 1935, in Pacific Township, the son William and Lula (McQueen) Tomlinson. He worked for Research Products as a slitter operator. Junior loved short track racing, beginning with his brother-in-law Richard and continued with his sons. Junior’s love of racing was enjoyed with and by his entire family. He also enjoyed going on vacation with his sister and brother-in-law.

He is survived by his children, Cindy (William) Falk of Poynette, Sandy (Douglas) Winkelmann of Pardeeville, Randy (Wendy) Tomlinson of Poynette, Andy Tomlinson of Poynette; grandchildren, Kimberly and Zachary Falk, Ross and Sarin Gurske, James (Marta) and Sarah Winkelmann, Collin and Kyle Tomlinson, Craig, Michael and Christian Tomlinson; sister, Cheryl (Richard) Breezer of Star Lake; niece, Brenda (Steve) Berend and their daughters, Valerie and Kayla Berend, all of Green Bay; sister-in-law, Barbara Tomlinson and her children, Teresa Tomlinson and Vickie (William) Suggs, of Georgia, and Gary (Shay) Tomlinson of North Carolina; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lula Tomlinson; daughter, Wendy; and brother, Gordon Tomlinson.

A memorial visitation will be held at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette, Wisconsin, on Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Military honors will be provided at 4:30 p.m. by the Poynette Veterans Honor Guard.
