Florence Levzow

PORTAGE - Florence Levzow, 91, of Portage, went home when God answered our prayers on March 28, 2017.

Florence was known for her kind and loving heart, and the willingness to help anyone, anytime and anyway possible. She loved to cook, garden and crochet, making baby hats for newborn boys born at Divine Savior Healthcare while at Tivoli as well as baby blankets for nurses at Tivoli who were expecting.

She is survived by her son, Rick (Doreen) Levzow; granddaughter, Dawn (Chris) Lowrey; grandson, Ryan (Amanda King) Levzow; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Payton and Blaze Levzow, and Nevaeh; brother, Alvin Bolgrin; brother-in-law, Gene Simerson; sister-in-law, Betty Levzow; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Hattie Bolgrin; her husband, Oliver; brothers, Floyd and Harlan; sisters, Lucille and Alice; and many of her in-laws and family members.

Special thanks to the nurses and aides of Tivoli who cared for Florence the last eight years, and to Agrace Hospice staff for making her comfortable in her final days.

Thanks to Monica Holden, Tom Drury and Nancy Davis for their spiritual and inspirational guidance during our family’s time of need and you were there when you were most needed.

A celebration of life ceremony will be performed at Tivoli by Monica Holden and Tom Drury on April 6 at 2 p.m., with a time of sharing event downstairs afterward. Inurnment will be private.
