Gaylene A. Faul

PORTAGE – Gaylene A. Faul, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Tivoli in Portage, surrounded by her loving family.

Gaylene was born on October 12, 1942, in Illinois, the daughter of Gilbert and Blanche (Litvay) Wenker. She attended Portage High School and graduated from the UW Madison in 1985 with a BS in Art Education in December 1985. She married James L. Faul on October 12, 1963, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Portage. Gaylene enjoyed her work as an artist and substitute teacher in Pardeeville and Montello. She was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1969.

She is survived by her son, Zan (Lori) Faul; grandson, Bret Faul and fiancé Mari-Jo Rains; great-grandson, Jeffrey David Michael Faul; brother, John (Cheryl) Wenker; sister, Pam (Ralph) Hawker; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Faul; son, Lance Faul; and brother, Gill Wenker.

Funeral services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witness in Portage, Wisconsin, on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service. A luncheon will follow from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Pacific Town Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Tivoli for their care and support.
