Thomas G. Clemmons

Thomas G. Clemmons, age 76 of Portage, passed away on August 9th, 2017 at his home after an 8 month battle with lung cancer.  Tom was born on February 2, 1941, in Portage, the son of Rolland and Edna (Pfeil) Clemmons. He married Karen (Wielgus) Clemmons on October 31, 1964 and together they raised 3 children.  He loved hunting, fishing, sports, sports betting, and playing cards. He named and developed the Stonehaven subdivision, located on the outskirts of Portage, Wisconsin.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Susan St. Aubin (Dave Junker) of Panama City, Florida and Cheryl (Donn) Paul of Portage; his grandchildren, Jessica Kelly-Paul, Joshua Mayberry, Nicholas Paul, Bryce Paul and Thomas Mayberry; his sisters, Mary Jo (Bill) Mielke of Poynette, Jane (Jim) Kasuboske of Marshall, and Kathy (Phil) Gibbs of Sun Prairie.  He is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Karen in 2009, his son, Dan in 1999.

At Tom's request, there will be no funeral service.  The family would like to thank Dr. Krumpos for his care of Tom throughout the years and Home Health United for their assistance. A special thank you to Tom’s chemotherapy nurses and staff, Mother Teresa, Lady Di, Lohan and Morg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
