Anthony E. Drake

LEWISTON TOWNSHIP — Anthony E. Drake, 62, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

Tony was born on December 14, 1954, in Portage, the son of Rodrick and Joan (Peronto) Drake. He married Barbara Morris on May 6, 1978. He was a quiet man of wisdom, strength and integrity. As an avid outdoorsman and conservationist, he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. Tony worked at Portage Casting and Mold for nearly 40 years. He was a member of the National Trapper’s Association and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Drake of Lewiston Township; daughter, Josie (Kirk Fox) Drake of Madison and their daughter, Adeline; son, Mark (Brooke) Drake of Portage and children, Anessa, Mya, Caiden and Mark; sister, Beth (fiancé Jasper Foote) Drake of Portage; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodrick and Joan Drake, and his uncle and aunt, Carl and Carmen Drake.

Services will be private. Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8317 Elderberry Road, Madison, WI 53717.
