Frankie J. Woodard PORTAGE – Frankie J. Woodard, age 71, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at UW Hospital in Madison. Frankie was born on April 2, 1945 in Otsego, Wisconsin, the son of Frank J. and Anna M. (Manion) Woodard. He attended school in Portage. Frankie married Francisca Garcia on November 30, 1968 in Edinburg, Texas. He had worked for 45 years for the Del Monte Company; 34 years at the Arlington plant and 11 years at the Markesan plant. Frankie was a volunteer fire fighter in Arlington for 4 years. After retiring, he worked part time for Silver Lake Cemetery; mowing grass and other duties. He also enjoyed doing yard work for Mike and Melodie Gaffney, and Hubert Hill. He loved having morning coffee at McDonald’s with his buddies. Frankie enjoyed bowling; mixed and men’s league for many years. He also enjoyed playing softball, euchre and doing projects around the house. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Packers, Badgers and Brewers all his life. He is survived by his wife, Francisca G. Woodard; his daughter, Linda M. (Matt) Gorsuch; his son, Christopher M. Woodard; his grandson, Ryan M. Gorsuch; his siblings, Helen Puckett, Medford, OR, Gerrie Blunkell, Medford, OR, Bettie Conrad, UT, Donna (Jim) White, Nephi, UT, Myrtle Woodard, Barron, Judy Lantis, Bellingham, WA, and Ronald (Diane) Woodard, Portage; his brother-in-law, John Woznierka, Kenosha; his sister-in-law, Carlota Rodriguez, Forney, TX; Betty L. Gorsuch, Portage; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and very good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Francis Markwardt, Sharon Woznierka, and Donald Woodard, and his brother-in-law, John Garcia.
