Mary L. Weyh

PORTAGE—Mary L. Weyh, age 79, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Mary was born on October 4, 1937, in Wisconsin, the third child of Raymond and Marie (Hibner) Schrab. She attended Portage Schools.  Mary worked varied jobs. She met Earl Weyh, and they married on June 15, 1961.  Mary then became a dedicated stay-at-home mom and homemaker.  Earl preceded her in death on October 13, 2015.  Mary traveled as a military wife, through many states and overseas.  Mary was an avid lover of animals, birds, flowers and music.  She was a strong Godly woman of faith, and was a member of Grace Bible Church.

She is survived by her children, Joseph (Eileen) Weyh, Baraboo, Robert (Jan) Weyh, Edgerton, Charles (Dawn) Weyh, Endeavor, and Connie Weyh, Madison;  grandchildren, Stormi, Nathan, Jacob, Devany, Sierra, R.J., Marcus, Alexandra, and Courtney;  her brother, Gary (Joy) Schrab, Rural Oxford;  her sisters, Yvonne Greiner, Portage and Delores Schehr, Endeavor;  nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, John and Donny Schrab.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Grace Bible Church, 2939 County Highway CX, Portage, with Pastor Paul Scharf officiating.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lewiston Township.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Grace Bible Church.  The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests memorials may be made in Mary’s honor to Grace Bible Church or the Columbia County Humane Society.
