Bonnie L. Weishoff

NEW HAVEN TOWNSHIP/WISCONSIN DELLS – Bonnie Lee Weishoff, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday morning, June 1, 2017.

Bonnie Lee was born on April 27, 1937, in Portage, Wisconsin, the daughter of Norman and Vera (nee Gerbitz) Simerson. Bonnie Lee married Walter “Dutch” Weishoff on July 30, 1955. Bonnie Lee’s passions included family, friends, photography, paint artistry and sharing her incredible voice while entertaining with The Illusive Sounds, Emil Gray, The Country Playboys, The Reifsteck’s & Bonnie Lee and Bonnie Lee & The Countrymen.

Bonnie Lee is survived by her husband Walter “Dutch” “Honey” Weishoff; her children Jenny (Daniel) Jaehnke, Jeff (Lori) Weishoff, Jack (Lisa) Weishoff and Jamie (Tina Marie) Weishoff; her 28 grandchildren and great grandchildren are Angela, Joshua, Mandi, Jonah, David, Erica, Adelynn, Alexander, Jaci, Mike, Jolyn, Chris, Wyatt, Luke, Jesse, Logan, Allison, Derek, Amanda Louise, Jonathan, Jaina, Michelle, Joseph, Taylor, Amanda Loanne, Kenzlie, Daniel, Kelsey; brother, Gene Simerson; sister, Debbie Schultz; plus a multitude more nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Bonnie Lee was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Vera (nee Gerbitz) Simerson; her mother and father-in-law Wallace and Arvella (nee Winicki) Weishoff; her siblings Dale Simerson, Rosalie Simerson and Glen Simerson; her daughter-in-law Peggy Lee Weishoff (nee Puttkammer); her granddaughter Jodiy Lee Weishoff; her grandson Joel Luke Weishoff and her great granddaughter Reyalyn Marie Weishoff.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the United Presbyterian Church, 730 Cedar Street, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin 53965; 10:00 a.m. visitation is followed by an 11:00 a.m. celebration of life service officiated by Pastor Steve Keller and concluded with a fellowship luncheon at the church.

For consideration of memorial tributes, in lieu of flowers, please consider supporting cancer research and cure, hospice centers, and music.

The family offers their thanks to the numerous health care providers that have supported Bonnie Lee along with the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.
