Alex Midstokke

PORTAGE – Alex Midstokke, age 19, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016.

Alex was born on February 6, 1997, in Portage, the son of Jeremiah Midstokke and Sara Gray. He worked for Cascade Mountain Ski Hill and enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, gaming and music.

He is survived by his great-uncle/guardian, John Gray (Kathy) of Portage; sister, Jordyn Midstokke of Portage; father, Jeremiah Midstokke of LaCrosse; grandmothers, Janelle Gray (Jeff Georgeson) of Wisconsin Dells, Betty Midstokke of LaCrosse; great-grandmother, Judy Gray of Portage; great-grandfather, Joseph V. Gray of Portage; aunts and uncles, Tracy (Brad) Veith of Portage, Lisa (Andy) Bolstad of Montello, Brian (Traci) Zurfluh of Montello, Cheryl (Chris) Greenheck of LaCrosse, Anna Midstokke of Portage, Kenny Midstokke of LaCrosse; great-aunts and great-uncles, Janene (Bill) Mongillo of Baraboo, Julie (Mike) Kopfhamer of Portage, Jennifer (Brian) Peterson of Portage, Jill (Scott) Burdick of Portage, Jeff (Shannon) Gray of Portage; other cousins, relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Gray; grandfather, Kenneth Midstokke; aunt, Susie Midstokke; uncle, Christopher Midstokke; great-aunts and great-uncles, Jolene, Jackie, Jimmy, Jerry and Joellyn Gray.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Portage, Wisconsin, with Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl presiding. Interment will be private. Visitation will be at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
