Wendy Lou Gramse

LOWVILLE TOWNSHIP -- Wendy Lou Gramse, of Poynette, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016.

Wendy was born on June 5, 1961, in Poynette, the daughter of Roger and Kathleen (McFarlane) Hebel.  She graduated from Poynette High School in 1979 and then attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she met her husband Cameron.  They were married on August 6, 1983.  Wendy enjoyed babysitting in her home while caring for their three daughters.  After staying at home for many years, she entered the workforce where she worked at American Girl for 15 years as a line picker, doll doctor, and store scheduler.  Wendy enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting, being outdoors and going on nature hikes looking for birds and flowers.  She was an active member of her church, teaching Sunday school for many years.     

She is survived by her husband, Cameron Gramse, of Poynette; her daughters, Katie (Eric Hannigan) Gramse of Balsam Lake, Megan (Aaron) Manzke, of Big Lake, Minnesota, and Vicki Gramse, of Madison; her father, Roger Hebel, of Poynette, her sister, Pat Shirley, of Madison, her brothers, Kent (Louise) Hebel of Westby, Chris Hebel, of Poynette, and Jeff (Angie) Hebel of Poynette, many nieces and nephews, her grandson, Landon Manzke, other relatives and many friends.  She will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, with Pastor Christopher Amen and Pastor Marion Hendrickson officiating.  Burial will follow in Inch Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette, and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a future memorial honoring Wendy.
