Elsie Patricia Abbey

Portage  --  Elsie Patricia Abbey, age 90, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg.

Patricia was born on October 21, 1925, daughter of Leland and Lillian (Nottestad) Hanson. She worked as secretary for the Civil Service.  Patricia was married to James G. Abbey, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, John (Cathleen) Lathrop of Leesburg, FL and Madison; three grandchildren, Sara (Aaron) Stinski of Edgerton, Pamela (Nathan) Roets of Kewaunee, and Johanna Lathrop of Madison; four great-grandchildren, Annabelle Stinski, Nikolas Stinski, Elsa Roets and Avery Roets;  her brother, John (Carol) Hanson of Canada;  other near relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jean Copelan and Donna Deramee, former husband, John Frank Lathrop, and husband, James G. Abbey.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home (www.pmmfh.com) in Portage.  Burial will be private in Farmers Valley Cemetery.
