Anna M. "Mary" Waugh

POYNETTE  --  Anna M. “Mary” Waugh, age 98, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Divine Savior Healthcare Hospital, in Portage. 

Mary was born on April 17, 1917, the daughter of Peter and Maria (Burgard) Gottfried.  She was married on September 16, 1972 to Charles A. Waugh.  Mary was employed in the office of the Wisconsin Cheeseman, in Sun Prairie for 27 years. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Poynette.    

Mary is survived by her step-children, Norman (Pat) Waugh, Dale (Kay) Waugh, Donna (Ken) Pritchard, and LaVonne (Lenny) Eiler; several nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren, as well as her sisters-in-law, Dottie Gottfried, Ute Gottfried Kelly, and Golda Anderson; a very special friend, Helen Bowen, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Leopold Weisensel, her second husband Charles Waugh, her daughter, Rita, and son-in-law, Charles Triege, her brothers, Peter and John, her sister, Catherine, and her step-grandson, Roger Waugh.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Poynette with Fr. Paul Eruva presiding, burial will follow in Inch Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.  The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the family.
