ARLINGTON – Robert C. Redell, 84 passed on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Waunakee Manor, Waunakee, Wisconsin.

Robert was born on June 8, 1930, in Iowa County, Town of Arena, Wisconsin, to Herman and Gay Redell, one of three sons.  Robert graduated from Poynette High School and married his high school sweetheart, Marian (Millard) Redell on August 12, 1950 in the Poynette Presbyterian Church, Poynette.  Robert served in the US Army from 1951-1953 in the 6th Armored Division Heavy Equipment Motor Pool as a Welder at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Robert was a member of Operating Engineers Local l39 for 60 years working most of his entire career in road construction.  He was also a member of the Poynette Masonic Lodge and the Arlington Prairie Drifters Snowmobile Club.  “Bob” especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, Ford vehicles, the Packers, NASCAR, and looking forward to winter to enjoy snowmobiling with his family and friends.

Robert is survived by three children, Rita (Larry) Wells of Arlington, Ron (Carol) Redell of Poynette, and Renee (Chad) Norton of Pasadena, California; eight grandchildren, Brian (Traci) Wells, Brandon (Shila) Wells; Alex, Jack, Madeline, and Claire Redell; Caitlin and Carly Norton; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Justin Wells. He also is survived by two brothers, Richard (Arlene) Redell, Lake Geneva and Raymond (Janet) Redell, Arlington, Wisconsin and a special friend, Janet Clemens. Robert was preceeded in death by his wife of 59 years, his parents, Herman & Gay Redell, and Clarence and Luella Millard.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for the wonderful and caring staff of Waunakee Manor.
