Mary Elizabeth (Pluard) Novak PORTAGE -- Mary Elizabeth (Pluard) Novak, age 78, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her home in Portage. Mary was born on December 27, 1936, the daughter of Frances and George Pluard. She married Richard Novak on November 28, 1970. She is survived by her husband, Richard Norman Novak, of Portage, formerly of Chicago, her son, Steven George Novak (Nattaya), of Chicago; her grandchildren, Alexander and Aidan; her brother, George (Bea) Pluard; many nieces and nephews, other relative and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gerald C. Pluard, Sr, and his wife Marge Pluard. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in LaGrange, IL. Inurnment will be private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:45 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
