James “Jay” Havelka

POYNETTE  --    James “Jay” Havelka, age 51, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his home on Saturday, August 8, 2015..  

Jay was born on April 6, 1964, in Oak Park, Illinois (native of Cicero, IL),  the son of William and Natalie (Keizer) Havelka.  Jay expressed love through cooking for everyone.  He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, interacting with wildlife and fishing. He especially loved taking care of his mom and his dogs.  

He is survived by his mother, Natalie;  sister, Vicki Havelka;  brother, Mike (Shelly) Havelka; nieces, Trina (Bobby) Kaul, Nicky Winohradsky; great niece, Ella “Moon Pie” Kaul; uncle, Dan Keizer; brother, Eric Laibl; sisters, Adrianne Havelka, Avie Havelka, niece, Regina and great nephew, Gabe; girlfriend, Melinda Edwards; other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, William, grandmother, Elizabeth and sister, Antonia.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
