Meri M. Dake

POYNETTE  --  Meri Merle Dake “Nana”, 55 passed away unexpectedly on January 15th, in her home in Poynette, WI.

Meri was born January 14, 1960 in Milwaukee County to William and Claudia (Vaughn) Jurgenson.  Meri spent several of her childhood summers with her siblings in Pelican Lake/Elcho WI. She moved to Portage in 1995 where she would eventually work at AMPI for several years. After many years at AMPI, she was able to spend time doing the things she loved to do like fishing, camping, and traveling to various areas. Although her stature was very small in size, she made up for it with her strong personality and loving heart.  Meri was someone you could always count on and would put anyone before herself. She was a diehard Packer Fan, had a passion for “Taz”. Her passion and main love came when spending time with her many grandchildren who knew her as nana.

She was preceded in death by her mother Claudia (Vaughn) Jurgenson, brother William Jurgenson Jr., brother Michael Jurgenson, and granddaughter Yazmariah Yarber.

She is survived by her father William (Nancy) Jurgenson, brother Mark (Kathy) Jurgenson, sister Judi Jurgenson, step-sister Peggy Jurgenson, step brothers Dennis, James, step sister Sandy Rosploch, daughter Tonya Palmer, two sons Duane (special friend Melissa) Jurgenson, William Dake (girlfriend Kayla), grandchildren, Monica, Mikayla, Trevon, Aaliyah, Cam Ron, Damajion Yarber, Alana Dake, Trinity Jurgenson, and Briana and Braylon whom she also loved and welcomed as Nana. Dear friend and roommate Michael Godding and special friend Dave Globbing, along with many nieces, nephews, and many close friends. As well as her beloved cat, Trouble.

Love never ends and God never lies. We will see you again in our eternal life. Even though we sit and wonder why God ended it like this. Having you leave without a warm hug or kiss. The leader of this family has now returned home. We know you’re watching over us because you loved us all to the moon and back!

A benefit will be held on February 21, 2015 at A&W Pourhouse in Poynette, Wisconsin and will start at 11am.

We all love you and miss you mom/Nana! We will continue to cherish every moment we had with you!
