James C. Wendt

MINOCQUA — James C. Wendt, 60, of Minocqua, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
Jim was born in Portage to William R. and Donna J. (nee McDermott) Wendt on June 20, 1952.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Toni (nee Miller) Wendt of Minocqua. Jim was the proud father of Nathan (Ronda) Wendt of Marion, Iowa, and Christine Wendt of Minocqua; grandsons, Tyler, Cody and Luke Wendt; granddaughters, Alexis, Courtney and Autumn; and great-grandson, Kayden. He is also survived by his special sister-in-law, Ruth Carlin. The apple of his eye was his Lexi, who he was so proud of.
Jim is further survived by his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Charlotte Miller, and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. Wendt and Donna J. Wendt-Courval; stepfather, Red Courval; and brothers, Richard, Johnny, Mike and Tom Wendt.
A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage with Fr. Jim Murphy presiding.  A luncheon will follow the service.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be held at a later date with a private family ceremony.
