Carole M. Ritter

PORTAGE/COLUMBUS – Carole M. Ritter, age 68, died on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus.

Carole was born on July 23, 1944, in Binghamton, New York, the daughter of Clarence M. and Etta (Dewey) Ritter.  She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage.  Carole enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, and being outside.  She greatly loved her children and granddaughter, and touched everyone she came in contact with.  Carole will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, LaVerne Burchard, Portage;  her daughter, Veronica Clymer, Portage;  her granddaughter, Jacqulin Clymer, Portage;  her brother, Bruce Ritter, Binghamton, New York;  her sister, Mary Percival, Clearwater, Florida;  her dog, Sapa;  other relatives and many friends.  Carole was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Rhys Clymer.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage, with the Rev. Dan Kelm officiating.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the church.             

A memorial fund has been established in Carole’s name.
