Julie Ann Crawford

PORTAGE  --  Julie Ann Crawford, age 55, of Portage, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013, at her home.

Julie was born on February 11, 1958 in Portage, the daughter of William and Beverly (Gavinski) Lauterbach.  She graduated from Portage High School in 1976, where she helped start the German Student Exchange Program and was a member of the FFA.  Julie was married to Gary Crawford on May 24, 1980 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage.  She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and, especially, horses. She loved gardening and her flowers.  Julie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage.

She is survived by her husband, Gary;  her children, Christopher (Dana) Crawford, Portage, Keith (Rae Anne) Crawford, Portage, and Hannah Crawford (Alva Fuller), Endeavor;  her father, Bill, Portage;  four grandchildren, Noah, Lillian, and Emmalee Crawford, Leigh Anna Crawford;  her sisters, Kathy (Virgil) Johnson, Portage, Nancy (Tim) Kopfhamer, Portage, and Norma (Bob) Healy, Portage;  her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gail and Don Schultz, Portage;  aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Lauterbach, and her grandparents, Wally and Velma Gavinski.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.  Inurnment will be private.  There will be no other services held.
