David S. Chapman

PORTAGE  --  David S. Chapman, age 49, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013, of liver failure.  

David was born on December 19, 1963, in Madison, the son of Richard and Frances (Thompson) Chapman.  He attended Poynette High School.  David worked in construction for many years. 

He is survived by his daughters, Nicole and Deserae Chapman; his mother, Frances Chapman, his brother, Richard Chapman, Jr.; his sisters, Kelly (Rick) Hellenbrand, Cheryl Chapman (Steve Eichorst), and Sheila (Wayne) Ricks; his nieces and nephews, Christopher Tomlinson, Kayla Krallis, Matthew, Tanner and Grace Ricks, Joseph Kelley, Joshua King, and Jeremiah (Shannon) Hellenbrand; aunts and uncles, Elbridge and Marlene Curtis, Red and Barb Thompson, Larry and June Colstad, and Bill and Jeanne Zeier, many cousins, other relatives and friends.  David was preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Chapman, Sr., his uncle James “Jimmy” Thompson, his aunt and uncle, Patricia and Donnie Joyce, and his grandparents.  

A Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.  Inurnment will be private.
