Adelaide M. "Addie" Corcoran

 

BRIGGSVILLE / MADISON  –  Adelaide M. “Addie” Corcoran, age 93, of Briggsville, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Golden Living in Wisconsin Dells.

Adelaide was born on December 11, 1918 in Waunakee, Wisconsin the daughter of Jacob and Adelaide (Ripp) Kessenich.  She was married on May 14, 1941 to Grant Corcoran in Waunakee.  Addie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Briggsville, and formerly of St. Thomas Aquinas in Madison, where she managed the fish fry’s for many years.  She was a homemaker, and also sold and demonstrated small appliances.  She loved to bowl.  Addie and her family loved to be at their mobile home and then their house on Lake Mason since 1958.

She is survived by her husband, Grant;  her daughter, Connie Corcoran, Briggsville;  her son, Michael (Kathleen) Corcoran, Venice;  her grandchildren, Todd (Corrine) Corcoran, Eden Prairie, MN, and Kelly (Rob) Cummings, Arkansas;  her great-grandchildren, Hallie and Benjamin Corcoran, and Tate, Owen and Liam Cummings;  nieces, nephews, many other relatives and dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and ten siblings. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Briggsville, with Fr. Jim Murphy and Fr. Jay Poster presiding.  Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Chapel, Madison.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
