Patricia Ann “Pat” West

POYNETTE –  Patricia Ann “Pat” West, age 70, of Dekorra Township, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Tivoli in Portage.

Pat was born in Madison, WI on October 27, 1941, to parents Herman A. and Mary (Rotar) Daniels.  She was raised in Verona and attended school and graduated from Verona High School in 1959.  Pat worked in Madison and was married to Ralph T. Olson on October 29, 1960.  They had three children, Turk D. Olson, Mt. Horeb, Tracy (Jon) Jordan, Missoula, MT, and Todd Olson.  They were divorced in 1980.  Pat married Herbert West on May 7, 1983.  She welcomed into her life his five children, Diane West, Middleton, Michael (Pam) West, Stoughton, Steven (Sandy) West, Roseville, MN, Kathleen West, Spokane, WA, and David (Marcy) West, LaFarge, WI.  Herb and Pat lived in Verona until 1991 when they moved to Poynette and their Lake Wisconsin home.  Pat worked at Springs Window Fashions (Graber) for 27 years.  She loved sewing and doing crafts, going to Arizona for the winters, and “happy hour” with their friends on the river.  The joy in her life were all her 17 grandchildren, plus being able to spend time with her 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman A. and Mary Daniels, her brother, Herman S. Daniels, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 655 S. Main St., Poynette, WI 53955, with Fr. Raymond Dischler presiding.  Inurnment will be in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery in Verona.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Poynette.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Home Health United Hospice or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Poynette.
