Cynthia Lauterbach

PORTAGE – On the wings of an angel, Cynthia Lauterbach, age 60, passed away peacefully in the early hours of March 10, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, with her loving family, friends and long time companion by her side after a long courageous battle with life.

Cindy was born August 22, 1951 in Portage, the daughter of Franklyn and Marilyn (Fisher) Radant. She enjoyed many things in life including gardening, helping and taking care of others as she was a long time employee of A.R.C. of Columbia County. Most of all she loved to laugh.  Her laughter was contagious as it would just spread to those around her. Every time someone did something special she would say this person got another feather in their wings.

As we surrounded her with love we were all quite worried that Cindy had too many feathers and would not be able to get off the ground. God did find a way and she is now in a better place. We will always love and miss her and hold her dear in our hearts.

She is survived by Caryl (LeRoy Schultz), Barbara (Mick Koehler), Deborah (Owen Landsverk), Jim (Linda Radant) and long time companion Ron Jacobson, and most of all, the one that kept her going and put a twinkle in her eye, her grandson Treton Caine Lauterbach; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Franklyn and Marilyn Radant and son Ryan Lauterbach.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Portage United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Countryman officiating. Inurnment will be private. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
