 David G. Hibner

PORTAGE –  David G. Hibner, age 68, died of Leukemia, on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. 

David was born on October 20, 1944 in Portage, the son of Vern and Mary (Banks) Hibner.  He married his wife Bonnie in Portage on January 13, 1979.  David enjoyed golfing at Thal Acres in Westfield and at Two Oaks North, in Wautoma.  David shot pool for the Baraboo Gentlemens League, and bowled for many years at Portage Lanes before they closed.  

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hibner, Portage; daughters, Tammy Hibner, Endeavor, and Terry Teneyuque, Marshall; his step-children, Scott (Julie) Friedel, Portage, and Deanna (Carl) Chernouski, Burlington; his grandchildren, Megan Pendleton, Caitlin Teneyuque, Tyler Friedel, Alexandra and Zachary Chernouski; his brother, Don Hibner, King; and his sister, Mary (Cliff) Sauer, Endeavor, other close relatives and many friends.  David was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers, Kenneth and Richard, and a brother Maurice. 

Memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, where a brief service will be held at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Tom Countryman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
