Nancy J. Duchow

PARDEEVILLE –  Nancy J. Duchow, age 61, of Pardeeville, died on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.

Nancy was born on July 4, 1951 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, the daughter of Clarence “Red” and Irene (Moscinski) Stelzer.  She was married on May 19, 1973 in Milladore, Wisconsin to Roger Duchow.  Nancy graduated from P. J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point, and from Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids.  She currently worked at Kohl’s in Lake Delton, and also worked at Liberty Tax Service in Portage.  Nancy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Pardeeville, and was very active in the church’s CCD Program and Cub Scouts as a den leader.  She loved to garden and had an eye for a bargain. 

She is survived by her husband, Roger;  her mother, Irene Stelzer, Stevens Point;  her children,  Bryant Duchow, Shawano, Garret Duchow, Dyersville, Iowa, and Evan Duchow, Pardeeville;  three sisters, Diane Stelzer, Junction City, Joyce (Michael) Sikora, Junction City, and Janice (Richard) Stashek, Auburndale;  her father- and mother-in-law, Rueben and Hilda Duchow, Marshfield;  her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria Duchow, and Diane (Thomas) Quick, all of Federal Way, Washington;  nephews and nieces, Kyle and Eric Stashek, Megan and Sara Sikora, Nathan, Juul, Maria, and Rueben Quick.  She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence “Red”. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore, Wisconsin, with Fr. John Ofori-Domah presiding.  Burial will follow in Slidere Lutheran Cemetery, between Auburndale and Marshfield, on the corner of Day and Mill Creek Road.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m., with Fr. David Greenfield officiating.  Visitation will also be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
