Hazel Pearson

 

ARLINGTON  --  Hazel Pearson, age 97, of Arlington, died on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at HospiceCare, Inc. in Madison.

Hazel was born on October 10, 1913, in Ladysmith, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Gallagher) Clark.  She married Melvin Pearson, he preceded her in death.  Hazel worked as a cook in the public school system.  She enjoyed baking and crocheting.  Hazel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Winter, Wisconsin, prior to moving to Arlington.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ladenthin, Arlington; four grandchildren, Tammy (Todd) Ritchie, Morrisonville, Tara (Steve) Hustad, Arlington, Tom (Kim) Ladenthin, Colorado, and Michael (Missy Kruse) Ladenthin, La Crosse; her great-grandchildren, Jeremy (Consuelo), Joshua (Stephanie), Kyle, Aarron, Justin (Amanda), Mark, Matthew, Zachary, and Eric Ladenthin; her step-great-grandchild, Skylar; her Great-great-grandchildren, Devin, Payton, and Mason; her brother, Sherman Clark, Rogers, Ark., other relatives and friends.  Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin, one sister, and six brothers.

Funeral services will be private.  Burial will take place in Winter Cemetery, in Winter, Wisconsin.  The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
