Eugene C. Miller

POYNETTE – Eugene C. Miller, age 68, died on Monday, April 4, 2011, at his home in Poynette.

Gene was born on May 27, 1942, in Beaver Dam, the son of Coral and Alice (Fish) Miller.  He married Lewan Grell, on November 3, 1962.  Gene was employed as an electrician for Oscar Mayer for 41 years.  He was an avid hunter; he provided land to start, and hosted the first outdoor range for the Poynette Bow Hunters. Gene loved spending time with his family.  He also had various hobbies throughout his life including, four-wheeling, driving stock cars, snowmobiling, playing golf, trap shooting and playing cards with his friends. 

Gene is survived by his wife, Lewan Miller, Poynette; his sons, Randy (Kathy) Miller, Portage, and Roger (Sally) Miller, Baraboo; his brother Ralph Miller, Mesa, AZ; his sister, Janet (Ron) Gast, Dodgeville, many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Ronald Miller.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with a short Memorial Service held at 6:00 p.m., at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette.
