Richard (Dick) A. Daniels

LODI/GREEN BAY - Richard (Dick) A. Daniels passed on to his heavenly home on October 23, 2011. He was born on December 1, 1932, the son of Alfred and Eleanora (Mayer) Daniels in Green Bay. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, William of Escanaba, MI.

He is survived by his wife, Delores, two daughters, Pamela Salaz (Ralph) and Carrie Hershberger (David) of CO, and two sons, Richard (Terry) of  TN, and David (Persis) of LA, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren from a previous marriage.  Four stepsons, James, of IN, Randy and Bryce of WI,  and Mitchell (Rita)  of OH,  7 step-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild, and a very special cousin, Rosie Kammerman of Green Bay.

After graduating from West High School in Green Bay, he worked as a cement finisher in the area for various companies until his retirement.  He was a fifty year member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers.  He also served in the National Guards, in the 32nd Red Arrow Division for twenty-five years.  He was an avid, excellent woodcrafter.  He spent a great deal of his time at Beecher Lake near Pembine, WI, building a cottage, hunting, fishing, and spending family time. 

He married Delores Clemens in April 2000 and moved to Lodi, WI.  Richard enjoyed their family pets, gardening, and creating woodcrafts. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home, 426 E. Washington St., Poynette, WI, 53955.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday starting at 12:00 pm until the time of the services at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Poynette Hillside Cemetery with Military Honors by Poynette area veterans.
