Cory Alan Adams

POYNETTE  --  Cory Alan Adams, age 19, died on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at University Hospital in Madison, surrounded by family and friends.

Cory was born on August 2, 1991 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, the son of Scott Adams and Tami Ramaker.  He graduated from Iowa Grant High School in January of 2010, after attending Poynette Schools through 11th grade, where he was a member of Poynette High School Cross Country and Track for three years.  Cory married his high school sweetheart, Lindsay Marie Kruser on April 10, 2010 in Cuba City, Wisconsin.  He worked at Oscar Mayer in Madison since January of 2010, most recently as a maintenance technician.  Cory loved spending time with Lindsay and Aubrianna, his “forever girls” and the true loves of his life.  He also loved fishing and hunting with all of the special men in his life, camping, and everything to do with muscle cars, especially Mustangs.  Cory would have been thrilled to know that six of his major organs were donated to four recipients needing transplants in the State of Wisconsin.  He lived his short life to the fullest, always with that quirky smile on his face, making him irresistible to love.

Cory is survived by his wife, Lindsay Marie Adams;  his daughter, Aubrianna Marie Adams, born June 14, 2010;  his father and stepmother, Scott A. and Krista M. Adams (See), his brother, Kyle, and sisters, Chelsea and Katie, all of Poynette;  his mother and stepfather, Tami L. and James P. Frasher, his brothers, David and Jesse, and sister, Kayla, all of Montfort;  his father- and mother-in-law, Paul G. and Lisa M. Kruser, Cuba City;  his paternal grandmother, Ruth A. Adams, Platteville;  his maternal grandparents, Robert and Joan Ramaker, Cuba City;  his maternal great-grandmother, Elizabeth Van de Wiel, Cuba City;  special grandparents, Bill and Diane See, Poynette, and Patricia and Harold Frasher, Chicago;  aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to count.  Cory was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Adams.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Poynette, with Fr. Ray Dischler presiding.  Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from        2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette.  Visitation will also be held on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established for his daughter, Aubrianna, at the Bank of Poynette, 105 South Main Street, P. O. Box 67, Poynette, Wisconsin 53955.
