Edward Sasak

 

PORTAGE  --  Edward Sasak, 87, a resident of Pardeeville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2010 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, Joliet, IL. He was born in Chicago on January 27, 1923.

Edward is survived by his loving children, James (Gwen) Sasak of Plainfield, IL and Darlene (David) Wilson of Chicago; his grandchildren, Mandy (Jim) Cesak, Melissa Sasak, Sharon Sasak, Jim (Jackie) Sasak, Matt Wilson and Michelle (Michael) Stopka; his great grandchildren, Jack Sasak, Carly Sasak and a “soon-to-be-born” great grandson; as well as his brother, Stanley (Evelyn) Sasak.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Fern Sasak in 2005.

Edward was a longtime resident of Chicago and retired to Wisconsin. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during WWII and saw action in Italy and North Africa.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 10, 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home, 430 West Wisconsin St, Portage, WI 53901. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 1:00 PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Portage, WI. Interment will follow at the Pardeeville Cemetery, Pardeeville, WI.
